10 Father’s Day Traditions Around the World

June is here, which means Father’s Day is just around the corner! From teaching you to ride a bike to walking you down the aisle, fathers have a special place in all of our hearts, so be sure to show them how special they are this June 16th. We put together a visual of ten different Father’s Day traditions around the world, so you can be inspired by how others show gratitude to the men that raised them.

Not all dads get to relax and read sweet Father’s Day cards.

  • In Mexico, dads participate in a 21km run through the capital city! Conversely.
  • In Finland dads sleep in and enjoy their favorite breakfast.
  • In South Africa much llike Father’s Day in the U.S., South Africa children present their fathers with gifts and cards. They also spend the day fishing in the hopes of catching something for dinner.
  • In japan, the childrens gather flowers, handmade beer glasses and sweets for Father’s Day. The celebratory meal of the day is often seafood-based, and most commonly cosist of crab and prawns.
